Each month at a Toronto home with an acoustic piano, Marcel Aucoin and Michael Holt offer two musical acts in contrasting styles, plus a speaker leading a conversation on an interesting topic. This is an open, public event, so bring your friends, and come at 7pm to mingle before Araz Salek's 7:30 solo set of music played on the traditional Iranian instrument, the tar. Monica Missrie will then lead a discussion on the Incredible Migration of Monarch Butterflies. I'll perform at 9:30 pm with Marcel and Chris, playing jazzy bluesy repertoire that Nathan Hiltz and I have been writing, as maybe a couple of fave old chestnuts. This is an intimate and fun event, and I'm very happy to be participating!
