Big thank you to Ori Dagan and Jazz In Toronto for inviting me to perform in their Jazz in the Junction Series! To give thanks to some of the generous musicians I've known, I'll be sharing songs and stories from musical mentors. Some of my favourites (including intro verses!) from the Great American Songbook and beyond, will be served up alongside Brazilian bossa nova in Portuguese and English, and some of the jazz and swing originals that guitarist Nathan Hiltz and I wrote and recorded. Neu Lokal has delicious Turkish food, and is an intimate space with seating for less than 40 people so Advance tickets are highly recommended and can be purchased by clicking here.

This time out, we are celebrating the birds and the bees, the sun, moon and stars, and the breeze in the trees! The natural world has inspired jazz and popular songs for generations, and September is a perfect time to gather and share two sets’ worth. I'm really enjoying choosing songs on this theme from The Great American Songbook, Brazilian bossa nova catalogue (in Portuguese and English) and my own jazzy originals.
